Hamraahi is one of the earlier family based clean entertainers from the Prasad Productions' very successful catalogue. It was a worthy follow-up to their earlier hits Chhoti Behan and Sharada. Alongwith the hallmark powerful performances by Rajendra Kumar, Jamuna, Mehmood and Shashikala, it had another successful musical score by Shankar Jaikishen. The hit songs included "Mujko Apne Gale Laga Lo", "Yeh Aansoo Mere" and "Man Re Tu Hi Bata Kya Gaaoon".
