Raja (Salaman Khan) is a bachelor living in a farm house miles away from the din & noice of Bombay, with added responsibility of bringing up his three nephews Dabboo, Motu & Chotu. Sonce the paresnts of these kids died in a road accident, Raja showers all his love on them with the result of which the kids have become very naughty & trublesome.'

On the othere hand, Renu (Neelam) is a wealthy girl, who has just returned form America to sign the inherittance papers of her property which is being looked after by her uncle Bhagwati Prasad (Anupam Kher), after her father's death. Bhagwati prasad is conspiring to appropriate her entire property of which Renu is totally unaware. Renu is a strong headed, arrongant girl, who during her chance encounters with Raja, always ends up in fury, so much so that on the strength of her money she manages to put him behind the bars for a fewdays. Raja is ee thing with anger & vows revenge & not long after the opportunity arrives.

Renu's uncle manipulates to drawn her in the sea, but as luck would have it some fisher folk save her. Her life is saved but she loses her memory. She cannot tell the police, what her name is & where she belongs. Till one day Raja comes & claims her as his wife.

Now on wards her ordeal starts-she has to stay with Raja & his three brats who make her do all the dirty works of the house. Day and night she has to labour hard, thinking that all this was a part of her duty as a wife & a mother. In fact, secretly Raja falls in love with her. Renu who was earlier used to luxuries, starts enjoying her existance in the comparative poverty of the farm house & togetherness of the family.

Just when everything was sweet & rosy for all of them, Renu regains her momoryl. Renu remembers everything & faces the stark reality. What happend next? Who was right & who was wrong int he scheme of things? Was the lure of money stronger than the bonds of love?
