Synopsis Dahleez (threshold) of a home is as sacred as that of a country and must be protected at all costs with love and committment. B. R. Chopra's Dahleez is the story of Mrig Naini (Meenakshi Sheshadri) and Shekhar (Jackie Shroff). Two lovers, who are separated from each other due to an unfortunate misunderstanding, only to have their paths cross once again, in different circumstances. Naini, married to Col. Rahul Saxena (Raj Babbar), finds herself faced with a moral and emotional dilemma. On one hand is the opportunity to reunite with her true love, while on the other hand, is the promise she made to uphold the sanctity of her marriage. Will she be able to maintain the honour of her "dahleez" or will she surrender all to her beloved Shekhar? Will Rahul find out the truth? Will Shekhar be able to reverse the blow fate dealt to him?
