Synopsis
Arpan is the story of Shobha, a working girl who is in love with Anil. While Anil was out
of the town, his sister, Vini becomes pregnant before marriage. Rakesh, Vinis boy friend
is been disappeared by a top industrialist J.K.J.K blackmails Shobha to marry him if she
wants to save the honor of AnilÕs family. She sacrifices and accepts the terms. Anil
returns from his trip and misunderstands Shobha, and hates her, as the truth only Rakesh
and Vini know. Shobha is initially ill treated by J.K but her tolerance and sacrifice wins
over her husband. But it becomes too late as J.K falls sick due to excessive drinking and dies.
Anil comes to know the truth about Shobha from Rakesh and Vini and apologizes.
Shobha is now mother of J.K child, now she has a new life to live again with her child.
But Anil is not so lucky as his wife Sona is filled with suspicion and hatred towards Shobha.
Sona meets an accident and loses her child and now she can never conceive again.
Anil discloses the truth to every one when his mother abuses Shobha for the familyÕs misfortunes,
Shobha comes to Anils house and every one is stunned. Here comes the moment of supreme sacrifice,
the moment of Arpan.
