Suraj (Jackie Shroff), a rich shipping tycoon, has a problem in selecting a bride for himself. This posing a problem for his younger brother Ravi who wishes to get married soon. Ravi's prayers are answered when Suraj accidentally meets Shubhangi (Manisha Koirala). Their meeting blossoms into a full fledged romance, culminating in marriage. On their honeymoon Shubhangi bump's into Vishwanath (Nana Patekar). Is this to be end of happiness? Vishwanath starts following Suraj and Shubhangi everywhere. Eventually Suraj confronts Vishwanath; who claims to know her. When Vishwanath continues the harassment, he is arrested, and on questioning provides proof that Shubhangi is his wife. Can be this woman be the same Shubhangi that he loves so much, wonders Suraj. How can Vishwanath claim to have married the same woman? What is the reason behind Shubhangi's terror every time she is comes face-to-face with Vishwanath?
